Oreo
Fri, 01/18/2008 - 11:41 — Tim WeberWe adopted Oreo from RPAW (http://www.rpaw.org) back in December. He's getting along great with our other dog Cujo, who is a 3 year old Boston Terrier. They love to play tug of war and chase each other around. Oreo harasses Cujo every chance he gets and follows him around like a shadow. We are still working on the potty training, he's getting there, but still has the occasional accident in the house. Oreo has learned to sit and shake already. He doesn't seem to mind the cold at all and loves to romp around in the snow. He loves to go cross country skiing with me in the back yard. He is getting along great with the 3 neighbor dogs (Pug, Boxer and German Sheppard). He thinks our (3) cats our his personal toys, and chases them and barks at them playfully. They don't really know what to think of Oreo, as they are just getting used to Cujo (3 years later). We have some of pictures of Oreo that you can see here: http://flickr.com/photos/toddfugere/sets/72157603484200607/ and here: http://flickr.com/photos/toddfugere/sets/72157601579467849/ (scroll to the bottom).

New Puppy
Tue, 01/08/2008 - 11:29 — Tim WeberWe recently got a second puppy, he is not a Boston Terrier but a lab/springer mix. He's only 11 weeks old. So far they are getting along ok, but not great. The Boston Terrier plays very rough with the new puppy, growling and being very aggressive around toys, bones, etc. This has been a problem with our Boston towards all other dogs, he needs to prove his dominance with every dog he meets. It's actually quite a frustrating problem. I'm worried he's going to get bit.
Does anyone else have this issue with their Boston Terrier?

Socializing Your Dog
Sat, 06/16/2007 - 23:00 — Tim WeberI think it's very important that dogs be around a lot of other dogs while they are growing up. This allows them to grow socially. They need to learn how to react to other dogs.
I bring my dog anywhere I can, just so he can get some experience in different situations. I always urge friends and family to bring their dogs when they come to visit. Not to mention the dogs in the neighborhood always love to play. read more »

Frisbee
Wed, 05/23/2007 - 09:29 — Tim WeberMy Boston Terrier is a bundle of energy. So every day I go out in the yard and play with him to tire him out. His favorite game is fetch. We started with a tennis ball. But now he is completely obsessed with a Frisbee.
The great thing is, he can catch it. He gets better every day. My neighbor keeps telling me he's going to see me and my Boston Terrier on TV some day.
Does your Boston Terrier do any tricks or anything unusual?

Everyone is Getting Dogs
Fri, 05/04/2007 - 00:02 — Tim WeberI can think of about 5 or 6 people who have gotten dogs in the last couple of weeks. It seems like everyone is getting one. Which is cool...I love dogs. I was at my friends house today who has a brand new Australian Sheppard puppy. It is very cute, but I certainly don't miss the puppy days.
Now that my dog is two, he's pretty well behaved and knows what I expect from him. I don't envy my friend going through the potty on the floor, constant yipping, whining, not listening, etc.
Puppies are fun but gimme a mature dog over a puppy any day.
